Government of India Calling Android app Developers [Contest]

Attention, dear Android app developers. 
The Nation wants you! Make innovative Android app that can be used by citizen to avail public services.

 You can win the contest prize of Rs. 1 lakh .Hurry! Contest closes on 31-March!! Official Contest announcement Government of India,under the m-Governance initiative, is aiming to utilize the unparalleled reach of mobile phones and mobile applications for delivering public services. Mobile Service Delivery Gateway,also known as Mobile Seva is an infrastructure created by C-DAC for this purpose.



 In this direction,we are inviting individual developer to develop innovative mobile application on Android platform that can be used by citizen to avail public services. Applications submitted will be evaluated by a jury process and the top 3 applications awarded during a National Workshop/Conference during April 2013. 

All qualified application will also be hosted on our Mobile Seva Application Store. Mobile applications can be created under the following categories: Categories: Government ServicesEducation/ReferenceSocial NetworkingLifestyle/Travele-HealthProductivity/Tools Timeline 

 Contest Starting on1 March, 2013 Submission Deadlines 31 March,2013. Winners Announced 10 April,2013 tentative. 

 Awards
1st Prize : 1 Lakh
2nd Prize : 50 Thousand
3rd Prize : 25 Thousand 

 Terms and Conditions
 1.Only Indian Nationals are eligible for participation in the contest.
 2.You will not provide any false information in the registration process. 
 3.Application must be relevant to citizen of india and must be based on accessing Indian govt. or public services.
 4.You will keep your contact information accurate and up-to-date.
 5.Only single account is permitted for an individual. If more than one account exists for same candidate then it will automatically result in disqualification of the candidate. 
 6.You will upload only one application per account. 
 7.The contestant has to sign a declaration about the originality and ownership of the application uploaded.
 8.The application uploaded should not be submitted to any other contest or usage or any other app store. 
 9.If you are acting within the scope of your employment, as an employee, contractor, or agent of another party, you warrant that such party has full knowledge of your actions and has consented thereto, including your potential receipt of a prize. You further warrant that your actions do not violate your employers or company`s policies and procedures. 
 10.You will not transfer your account (including any Page or application you administer) to anyone. 
 11.You will not upload viruses or other malicious code. 
 12.You will not use Contest to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious,  or discriminatory. 
 13.C-DAC has Proprietary rights for all the submitted applications (including the source code and supporting documentation) in the Contest. 
 14.C-DAC employees are not eligible to participate in this Contest. 
 15.C-DAC has a right to disqualify the account without prior permission. 

 How to Participate 
 1.Register yourself on our portal(http://appscontest.mgov.gov.in/registrationPage.jsp). 2.Upload your Mobile Application. 
 3.Submit 'Declaration Form' through post/courier to below mentioned address latest by April 10,2013 . About Mobile Seva Mobile Seva provides an integrated platform for delivery of government services to citizen over mobile devices using SMS, USSD, IVRS, CBS, LBS, or mobile applications installed on the mobile phones. Mobile Governance (m-Governance): A strategy and its implementation to leverage available wireless and new media technology platforms, mobile phone devices and applications for delivery of public information and services to citizens and businesses.
