Tablet pcs are now the hottest gadgets as far as India is concerned, Since the launch of Samsung Galaxy Tab 750 in 2011 the tablet pcs are hitting the market one by one , Among them Aakash Tablet pc and Ubislate had created ripples in the Indian Tablet pc market and now it is Indian telecom leader BSNL'S turn to launch Penta Range of TPAD.
According to the reports, Penta TPAD IS701R features a 7 inches resistive touchscreen. The tablet is comprised with 1 GHz processor, 256 MB RAM that can be increased upto 32 GB storage via memory card. It is also facilitated with WiFi, 3G donglesupport and a camera on the front.
The tablet has been priced at Rs 3, 499 to compete with the Aakash tablet. According to the experts, the technical specificationsoutweigh a slightly higher price than the Aakash but it is more likely to appeal to Aakash fans.
The other tablet, Penta TPAD WS704C is supported with 7 inches capacitive touchscreen along with 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, expandable upto 32 GB via memory card(4 GB built-in). It is facilitated with WiFi, 3G dobgle support alongside front and rear cameras. It also comes with a SIM card slot and has been priced at Rs 9, 917.
The third tablet, Penta TPAD WS802C has an 8 inches capacitive touchscreen with 1.2 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM that is expandable upto upto 32 GB via memory card(4 GB built-in). It is supported with WiFi, 3G dongle support, front and rear cameras. It features a SIM card slot and has been priced at Rs 12,678.
The three BSNL tablets are facilitated with Android 2.3 and come with one-year warranty. BSNL is expected to provide subsidized data plans to woo the customers.

this product sounds exactly like what I thought was a normal tablet I bought in the US but was made in Taiwan from what I assume is a generic maker. WAN or Wanaxin. I have the 7a-TB model it runs on 4.0 android ics, has 7 inches of viewable display,Cortex A8 1.2 GHz, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n(not sure what that means),I know what wiFi is of course lol.. 5 point touch screen,HDMI output(1080P),Flash Player 11 supported, front vga camera, Dram :512 Nand Flash , Dongle 3g(which Myself and 99% of other US cit izens know not what a dongle is,does,or if we call it something else?) it doesn't make or take calls or text but can video coference with front facing camera making it have more laptop feel than tablet. swtorage space is rather large with 6gb internal and 32gb (16 gb dual external slots) i only use 1 slot so have 6 gb hard drive and 16 in sd card. What is fair price ,us dollars, for this device and is it behind in technology because love it and it doesn't seem to have many flaws except customer service from Tiawan. I debating selling to upgrade if there is much better worth purchasing. what is 3g dongle?? i am lost, I thought this was a tablet when I bought it but I really enjoy and back android based products so I purchased this product without proper investigation and gaining knowledge fully on what i was buying. is it a simple android 4.0 tablet or something slightly different. I bought it from a man from India and believe it was a froyo 2.3 that was rooted to 4.0. not sure though because company's official website markets as 4.0ics. plz respond and let me know what I have here and the quality. sell or keep? paid 169.99 US dollars by the way
ReplyDeletethis Tablet is made for students and ordinary people of this country. and not for people who want to play HD games or HD videos. With the given specification and at the given price, it is doing what it is expected to do.
Deleteaakash is not good tab as compare to other tablets.but it is initial phase so lots of complaint comes due to cheap system which applied in aakash tab.
So,If you are a student i recommend u to buy this tablet
