1. Reduce Screen Brightness
It is a simple fact that more the brightness of the screen more the battery consumed. So, to ensure that your battery last a bit longer decrease the brightness of screen. In order to decrease the brightness go to settings, then brightness, now adjust the brightness.
2. Turn Off Bluetooth
Bluetooth is the one of the easiest way to connect iPhone with computer, headsets, but is the one of the biggest battery eater, so make sure that your Bluetooth is turned off when it is not in usage. In order to turn it off go to settingsGeneral, then tap the Bluetooth option to turn it off.
3. Turn off WiFi

You can turn WiFi off by tapping the Settings, then WiFi (tap it to turn off if it is on).
4. Turn On Auto Brightness
One of the fascinating features about the iPhone is “Ambient light sensor.” With the help of this sensor your phone will automatically set the brightness according to the light around you, so for the better visiblity and better battery back up turn the auto brightness adjustment. To turn the auto brightness go to settings, then brightness and there is the option named turn on auto brightness, tap it to turn it on.
5. Turn Off 3G
iPhone 3G and other model user get benefited with high speed cellular network, but 3G consumes high amount of battery, then normal GSM, so turn 3G off, whenever you are not going to usage it this will contribute to make your battery last longer. To turn 3G off go to settings, then Networks, then Slide Enable 3G to turn it off.
6. Switch to Airplane Mode
Not every time, but in those areas where there is poor network coverage it might be good idea to switch into Airplane mode. When you switch to Airplane mode your WiFi, 3G and even calls gets switched blocked automatically, that means battery drainage will be lower. To switch Airplane mode go tosettings, then toggle Airplane mode to on.
7. Turn Off Location Service
iPhone is built in GPS, which helps you know where exactly you are and gives you the driving direction, which is awesome, but know that location service also drains you battery much more faster like WiFi and 3G. So, make sure that you have not turned on the location notification whenever you are not going to need it. To turn off the location service go to Settings, then General, then Location Service, slide it to turn it off.
8. Battery Life Extending Application
Well, there are number of free battery life extending applications available for free, which gives complete information about the battery backup and running applications, download any of them and install it. This also also help you extend the battery backup.
9. Lock Your Phone Sooner
Unlike other mobile phones iPhone can be also scheduled to sleep in certain time. Scheduling the device sleep sooner when not in usage is protecting your battery to drain out while it is ideal. So, schedule your phone to go in sleep after 1-2 minutes when ideal. To schedule it to go sleep all you have to do is go to Settings, then General, then Auto Lock, now tap to your preference
10. Turn Off Equalizer
iPod application in iPhone have equalizer, which adjust and make music sound pleasure, but these application is made in fly, which need more battery back up, so turn it off to make battery last longer. To turn it off go to Setting, then iPod, then EQ, then Tap it to off.
