Best 3G Network Providers in India

If you have a 3G dongle, you might have surely searched for the best 3g network providers in India. We usually look for high speeds, good network coverage, low tariff plans and good customer service. Taking all this into consideration, it’s very difficult to find all of them  in a single network provider. We need a lot of research to get the best 3g dongle in India. Mostly, 3G services will depend on the area you live in. Some areas might have 3G network feasibility, and some may not. Whatever may be the reason, you should have good browsing experience at the end of the day.
We have done our homework to find out the best 3g network providers in India. And to our surprise, the most famous 3G network providers didn't make it to our top 5 list.  All our research is based on user feedback and personal experience. We bought Airtel, Idea, Vodafone, Reliance, Tata Docomo, MTS and Aircel dongles, to check out their 3G performance in different areas. Read on to check out the best 3g network providers in India.
1) Bharti Airtel 3G
If we are purely talking about 3G signals, Airtel is the among the best 3g network providers in India. Currently ranking number 1, Airtel has dominated almost every 3G Network provider in India. With excellent 3G speed and good customer support, Airtel stands out to be leader in 3G network providers. Airtel had some issues with its connection manager, which can be fixed with a simple upgrade. While coming to the 3G tariff plans, Airtel has recently cut down there 3G prices to 70%. This made a lot of people to shift to Airtel from other 3G network providers. Airtel 3G is currently functioning in more than 20 states in India. The best part of Airtel 3g is, you can find the 3G signal is almost every part of the country you visit. But make sure to set your Airtel dongle speed from 2G to 3G network. While coming to the speed, you can expect Airtel 3G to speed up to 7.5MBPS only. But usually you cant see more than 5MBPS in any part of India.
Airtel Dongle Performance:Good
3G Data Transfer Speed:4MBPS – 5MBPS
3G/2G Signal Strength:Mostly 3G
Tariff plans:Affordable
Network Strength:Excellent
Customer Support:Fair Enough
Cost:Rs: 999/- Onwards
Rating:5/5

2) Vodafone:

Vodafone is considered to be the most silent competitor in 3G network providers.  Coming to the 3G network signals, Vodafone was quite impressive with with decent data transfer rate. But, a lot of people are complaining about their 3G tariffs. People say Vodafone is bit expensive, when compared to other 3G network providers. And there are no much attractive 3G tariff plans, which can satisfy a user. The best example for this is, recently all the 3G network providers has announced a huge cut down in their 3G tariff plans. Everyone was cutting down their 3G rates to  70% – 80%, whereas Vodafone announced a 2paise per 10KB download. This plan from Vodafone was not that impressive. But coming to their other 3G tariff plans, this is slightly better. If you are trying to buy a Vodafone 3G dongle, you must spend Rs 1799 to buy the dongle itself. Instead of that, you can buy any Universal 3G data card dongle and put a Vodafone SIM in it. If we take 3G signals and good coverage area into consideration, Vodafone will surely stand in the second place.
Vodafone Dongle Performance:Good
3G Data Transfer Speed:4MBPS – 5MBPS
3G/2G Signal Strength:Mostly 3G
Tariff plans:    Slightly Affordable
Network Strength:Good
Customer Support:Fair Enough
Cost:Rs: 1799/- Onwards
Rating:4.5/5

3) BSNL 3G

Being one of the best 3g network providers in India, BSNL 3G was never in news, be it the 3G tariff plans, or the 3g signal strength. BSNL was never a first option to buy. BSNL provides country wide data roaming plans, with no additional cost. If you are a frequent traveler, then BSNL 3G data card should be your choice. The only drawback in BSNL 3G network is, you may observe congested network in dense areas. Whereas the 3G download speed will not exceed more than 3.6Mbps. If you are using this BSNL 3G dongle in highly populated areas like Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai, you will surely see a drop in network. You can get your BSNL 3G dongle with a lost cost penta tablet for just Rs 3250.
BSNL Dongle Performance:Good
3G Data Transfer Speed:3MBPS – 3.6MBPS
3G/2G Signal Strength:Mostly 3G
Tariff plans:Cheap
Network Strength:Good
Customer Support:Fair Enough
Cost:Rs: 2500/- Onwards
Rating:4/5

4) Reliance 3G

Reliance communications is one of the biggest and best 3g network providers in India. 3G has good 3G tariff plans for their postpaid customers. Even the prepaid plans are quite impressive, but not that great compared to other 3G network providers. The excellent bill shield plan from Reliance 3G offers 20p/MB for their postpaid users. While coming to the 3G network signals, Reliance offers a very good speed in almost every part of the country. But, this is limited to certain circles only. Usually when you exceed your unlimited 3G quota, your 3G speed will down to 2G network. Here, you will experience very slow data transfer rate of 64kbps. Usually it will be 128 kbps in other 3G network providers. This will take at least 2mins to open Google homepage. But when you are in a 3G zone, you can experience a data transfer of 5Mbps easily.
Reliance Dongle Performance:Good
3G Data Transfer Speed:4MBPS – 5MBPS
3G/2G Signal Strength:Mostly 3G
Tariff plans:Affordable
Network Strength:Excellent in 3G
Customer Support:Fair Enough
Cost:Rs: 1599/- Onwards
Rating:4/5

5) Aircel 3G

Aircel has the best plans for mobile 3G users. Usually, their 2G unlimited plan for 30days start from Rs 198 (with 1GB 3G Internet speed). Apart from these plans, there are a lot of student packs and mini plans, which attracted most of the youth in India. Coming to the Aircel 3G dongle plans, the 7.2 Mbps plan will start with Rs 697 (5 GB unlimited Internet speed). While the signal strength is very high in areas like Chennai, Kerala and other parts of the south. You might experience slight lag in busy areas and day time. Aircel 3G dongle is a bad choice for people who want to roam more. Because the 3G roaming is limited to 3G circles only. Whereas 2G signals are very poor in many circles. Recently Aircel attracted a lot of 3G users by selling iPhone 3Gs for just Rs 9999.
Aircel Dongle Performance:Good
3G Data Transfer Speed:3MBPS – 5MBPS
3G/2G Signal Strength:3G/2G
Tariff plans:Cheap
Network Strength:Poor in Roaming
Customer Support:Slightly Average
Cost:Rs: 1250/- Onwards
Rating:3/5
These are the five best 3g network providers in India. If you are wondering about Idea 3G, forget about it. Idea nowadays has the worst 3G signals in the country. With frequent server issues and low Internet speed, Idea has lost their users trust and goodwill. Whereas MTS is doing good in Mumbai and other parts of its feasible 3G network areas. If you have any queries regarding the 3G  networks, please drop us a comment here.

B Go beyond the limits!-Fast on the road and in difficult terrain, agile in the air

Quadcopters are becoming more and more popular with radio-controlled model enthusiasts, but sometimes ... sometimes you still just want to remotely-control a car. If that’s the case with you, then UK-based product designer Witold Mielniczek has got you covered. His prototype vehicle, known simply as B, functions as both a quadcopter and an off-road racer.

The rear wheel-drive vehicle has a tough polycarbonate body, and four wheels referred to as driving rings

The rear wheel-drive vehicle has a tough polycarbonate body, and four wheels referred to as driving rings. Each ring is driven not by a center-mounted axle, but instead by cog mechanisms at the bottom of the rim. This leaves the center of the rings clear for four 7-inch propellers, which allow the vehicle to get airborne on the fly (no pun intended).

Each driving ring is driven not by a center-mounted axle, but instead by cog mechanisms at the bottom of the rim

The driving rings are flexible and removable, so they won’t snap every time B makes a hard landing. The propellers are also flexibly-mounted, adding to the vehicle’s crash-worthiness.

Some of B's features

Power is provided by an 11.1-volt lithium-polymer battery, which reportedly provides up to 15 minutes of combined driving and flying per charge. Additionally, an onboard 720p video camera can record point-of-view footage to a Micro SD card.

The driving rings are flexible and removable

Mielniczek has a working prototype, and now hopes to add features such as full waterproofing (allowing it to also serve as a sort of boat), the ability to suck itself onto walls, and a smartphone control app. Eventually, he might even look into the possibility of building a full-sized passenger-carrying vehicle based on the technology, that could be used for humanitarian purposes.

B is a combination RC car and quadcopter, which can be driven or flown

Before any of that can happen, however, he needs to raise production funds, so he’s turned to a Kickstarter campaign. A pledge of £320 (US$484) will get you a ready-to-assemble B, when and if the funding goal is met. If you don’t want to supply your own transmitter and would like to get a fully-assembled model, you’ll need to pledge £400 ($605).
B can be seen in action in the campaign video below.

So i am going to share with you a little trick you can use to send any .jar applications from your s40 java mobile phone to other mobile phone. so how do i send java applications from my s40 java mobile phone using blue ftp.

Step1 : google for blueftp and download it to your mobile phone.then install it.

Step2 :now go to xchanger.mobi to download any java application.when downloading from xchanger.mobi, their is an options as to whether you want to download either the .jar file,or zip file.if you choose the .jar it means you are going to download the raw application, but if you choose the zip file,it means the raw application is going to be inside a zip file which is what we want.so therefore, you should download the zip file.

Step3 :after downloading the zip file in step2. Open your blueftp and locate the zip file you have just downloaded from your mobile phone.

Step4 :after locating the zip file, open it and extract the jar file you will see inside. To extract it, just press the upper left soft key of your mobile phone, then choose extract this item or you can use the short cut by just pressing 1.

Step5 :when you choose the extract selected item,it will take you back so as to choose any folder you want to extract the file to. So choose any folder and press the upper left soft key and choose extract item here or simply use the short cut by pressing 3.

Step6 :after extracting the .jar file, you will see the extension being renamed to _jar in the folder you extracted it to.now all you need to do is to clear all the entry leaving only one letter with the _jar extension e.g. If the jar file is operamini.jar before, and after extracting it,it becomes operamini_jar.just press the upper left soft key and choose rename, then clear the operamini leave just one letter lets say the starting letter which is O. It will now become O_jar.

Step7 :you can now send the file to any phone by pressing the upper left soft key and choose send via bluetooth, search for the person phone and send it.after sending it,rename the O_jar from the person phone to O.jar, you are done.

You will now see the file as operamini.jar raw file.the person can then install it on his phone.just follow the same process each time you want to transfer application from your s40 java mobile phone to other person's phone.

NOTE: You can also download .jar file directly to your mobile phone using ucweb.ucweb will automatically rename it to _jar. Then follow the same process to send it.that's all.ENJOY.

If you find this post helpful, kindly share it with your friends.

Gmail to allow money to be sent as an attachment

Gmail lets you send all kinds of files as attachments. And Google Wallet lets you pay for just about anything. Why not combine the two? That could have been the thinking by someone at Google, as the search giant is set to launch a payment system that’s the love child of Gmail and Google Wallet.

Google will soon be rolling out a new feature that lets you attach money to Gmail messages

Pretty soon, U.S. Gmail users 18 and older (sorry, kiddies) will see a dollar sign icon among their Gmail attachment options. Click on the icon, select a dollar amount, and send it along. The recipient doesn’t have to have a Gmail address to take your money, but they’ll presumably need to have a Google Wallet account (or at least sign up for one to claim their money).
In fact, that might be one of Google’s motives here. Make it ridiculously easy to send money to your pals, and if they aren’t already in the Google ecosystem, this is a new way to reel them in. Let the rush to Google+ sign-up pages commence.
Google does also take a small cut from credit card payments – 2.9 percent per transaction, to be exact (with a minimum of $0.30). If you're paying from your bank account or directly from your Google Wallet balance, then you're off the hook. Receiving payments is free.
The feature will be rolling out to U.S. Gmail users in “the next few months.” In the meantime, you can preview the feature in Google’s video below.

BBM on iOS and Android! Coming soon

If you’re already a fan of BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), we’ve got some exciting news designed to make it easier for you to connect with your entire mobile social network. BlackBerry plans to make BBM, our wildly popular mobile messaging service, available for the first time to iOS® and Android™ users this summer, (subject to approval by Google Play and the Apple App Store, as applicable). This means that, once available, you can welcome your friends and family using these other mobile platforms to connect over BBM and share in the Team BlackBerry love.

As we’ve chronicled on our Inside BlackBerry blog for some time now, BBM set the standard for mobile instant messaging with fast and reliable service and an added layer of engagement with delivered and read statuses. You’ve shared with us your stories about how BBM has kept you connected when it mattered most to you. Upon release of the multi-platform BBM service, you can broaden that real-time connection to friends and colleagues on other supported mobile platforms.
In the first version of multi-platform BBM, iOS and Android users are expected to be able to experience the following BBM features:
  • The immediacy of BBM chats
  • Multi-person chats
  • Voice note sharing
  • BlackBerry Groups, where BBM users are able to set up groups of up to 30 people and share calendar, photos, files and more
The team here at BlackBerry has definitely been working hard to bring the much-adored BBM experience to a wider group of mobile users. In a recent press release at BlackBerry Live 2013, Andrew Bocking, Executive Vice President, Software Product Management and Ecosystem, at BlackBerry had this to say:
“For BlackBerry, messaging and collaboration are inseparable from the mobile experience, and the time is definitely right for BBM to become a multi-platform mobile service. BBM has always been one of the most engaging services for BlackBerry customers, enabling them to easily connect while maintaining a valued level of personal privacy. We’re excited to offer iOS and Android users the possibility to join the BBM community.”

BBM Quick Facts:

  • More than 60 million monthly active users
  • More than 51 million daily active users who are connecting with friends or colleagues an average of one and a half hours every day.
  • BBM users send and receive more than 10 billion messages each day, nearly twice as many messages per user per day as compared to other mobile messaging apps
  • Almost half of BBM messages are read within 20 seconds of being received; indicating how truly engaged BBM customers are
Today, BlackBerry also announced BBM Channels, a new social engagement platform within BBM that will allow customers to connect with the businesses, brands, celebrities and groups they are passionate about. BlackBerry plans to add support for BBM Channels as well as voice and video chatting for iOS and Android later this year, subject to approval by the Apple App Store and Google Play. If approved by Apple and Google, the BBM app will be available as a free download in the Apple® App StoreSM and Google Play store. Additional details about system requirements and availability will be announced closer to the launch.
That’s some pretty big news, indeed. Be sure to share your thoughts with us in the comments below, who will be the first person from your extended network that you introduce to BBM?
